I would like all the information possible on pregnancy any ideas?
I recently found out I’m 10 weeks pregnant. I’m a college sophmore and my ex wants me to have an abortion but i am very pro life. I’m on my own my parents kicked me out last summer. Are there any organizations that could help me out as well? I have no idea and little resources? thank you :)
I live in Virginia.

If you plan on keeping the baby, and have no insurance, then you should enroll in Medicaid. It’s there to help people who are having financial trouble. Go to a local Department of Human services, and they can guide you to all types of resources that are there to help the less fortunate.

I know it seems silly but if you call 1-800-986 baby, they will send you a packet with the stuff you need (or refer you to a place who can). Stuff they can help you with is applying for medical assistance that will cover you for the duration of your pregnancy. You could also see if Virginia has a WIC program to help you with groceries. A lot of times there are programs to help people with unfavorable financial situations get affordable housing.
for general information on pregnancy, babiesonline.com and pregnancycenter.com are good places to learn.
You could always consider adoption. It’s not for everyone, but I think it is the most loving thing any mother can do. I hope everything works out for you. Good Luck and take care.
You can get on Medicaid, and they will pay for all your prenatal appointments, as well delivery and your post-pregnancy appointment. You baby will automatically get 1 year of Medicaid. Call your local Health Department, and they will be able to schedule an appointment to make sure you are eligible.
You can also get WIC if you qualify by your income. They will give you checks for free cheese, cerial, milk, juice, tuna, carrots, peanut butter… Once the baby arrives, they will give you more food, and they will give your baby checks for formula if you don’t breastfeed.
There is plenty of free stuff for pregnant women. Check out Publix Baby Club, they send you a free huge book of how to take care of your baby, and a bunch of coupons for free stuff and discounts.
In order to buy everything for the baby, check out craigslist.com, many people are getting rid of their used stuff for cheap, and things are of very good quality. Also, accept any baby stuff that you are offered, babies grow so fast that you’ll only waste money if you buy anything new.
Be smart and creative, and everything will be ok! Good luck :)
I am sorry, you have some people on here that have given you the same advice I have.
I am an adopted child, thanks for thinking the little one and not having an abortion.
