Can signs of pregnancy start to occur within less than a week after intercourse?
Help! A friend of mine was recently involved in sexual activity and is worried she may be pregnant. No more than a day or two after this sexual activity took place she started having splitting headaches, vomiting and experiencing nausea, she noted that these are some traits often accompanied by pregnancy. I have read that signs of pregnancy such as these should not start to occur until at least a week or two after the intercourse, but this information still does not cease the worrying. Is this at all possible? Could she be pregnant? Please help!

No, you can’t tell you are pregnant immediately. She needs to take a home pregnancy test the day her next period is due.

My second child was a surprise. My wife and I had been separated for a few months and when we got back together we had sex. (Surprise) The next day she couldn’t button her pants. Yes, pregnancy affects different people differently, but it’s possible to feel the effects the next day, let alone a week later.
I would think not, most feel prego symptoms around 5 weeks. I’d say she’s paranoid, I know I’ve been there!!!
No. She could be pregnant if it was unprotected sex, but it would be too early for the symptoms to occur. The sperm and egg may have joined, but the embryo has not even implanted on the uterus wall yet. The pregnancy hormone (which causes the symptoms) has not even built up in her system yet. hope this helps! =)
maybe after a week she would start getting a couple of very small symptoms like sore breasts and a light headache or two and maybe very rarely happens but maybe around 2 weeks after she would have some nausea but no not what she is describing. let me guess she is 14,15 or 16 i think she is probably paranoid or looking for attention.
